GM R&D grant to Chalmers University (2002-2007) for SCR and LNT model development, awarded and completed.

Department of Energy solicitation for Ultra-Clean Transportation Fuels (2003-2008) for discovery of HC-SCR catalysts, awarded and completed.

Department of Energy solicitation for Ultra-Clean Transportation Fuels (2003-2007) for development of new technologies for diesel particulate removal, awarded and completed.

GM grants to Queens University, Belfast (2004) to Professor Chris Hardacre and Professor Roy Douglas for catalyst aging effects and promotional effects of hydrogen on three-way catalysts, award and one completed and one still in progress.

GM of Canada grants to Professor William Epling at the University of Waterloo (2008) for reactor studies on catalyst aging of diesel catalysis, still in progress.

Organized the preparation of 30 ARPA-E concept papers (2009). Several were selected for full proposal submission.
